Portland Design our interior design division successfully completed this project.
The brief was to transform the reception area, bar, al a carte restaurant and executive suites.
The reception area needed to feel comfortable and inviting this was achieved with imposing furniture and combined textures such as wood, leather, wool and strong rich paint colours – creating a period country look.
The Restaurant needed a more luxurious feel and a small bar was required. The principle ingredient was again the furniture and fabrics, creating visual impact against the existing stone walls.
The Bar formerly called The Sportsmans Arms and renamed by Portland Design to ‘The Grouse & Claret’ was created into a country style pub with antique reclaimed furniture, warm aubergine and burnt orange fabrics mix with a large selection of objects of interest. The bar now compliments the hotel operation as well as having its own identity.
