Browne Smith Baker were comissioned by Yuill Homes to prepare a number of Scheme Development Standards (SDS) house types for use on their various sites and to obtain plan compliance from The Housing Corporation.
These house types have been designed to be tenure blind enabling them to sit alongside private for sale properties and provide a social mix which is common place in current planning policy.
During this process the SDS compliance was replaced with Design Quality Standards (DQS).
Achieving full design and quality standard plan compliance for the showcased house types has resulted in Browne Smith Baker being listed as one of three Architects to provide fully compliant designs to Housing Corporation DQS standards.
