description

Interior Design division Portland Design were commissioned by Punch Taverns to regenerate this sea front premises which had been recently acquired from Mitchell & Butler.

The Sand Dancer was operating as a Brewers Fayre food led operation with the interior fit-out complying with the standard Mitchel & Butler template. The interior was cold, bland and uninviting and required uplifting to encourage the substantial local and tourist trade visiting the coast.

The interior brief was to have a seaside themed fit-out that would be as equally inviting during the summer as the winter, including new dining areas and a Tapas server area to the bar.

The extended areas were extensively refurbished creating decked areas protected by sails with rustic timber seating and tables to all sides of the premises.
