Browne Smith Baker have been commissioned to design the new St Peters Sixth Form College next to Sunderland University. The new college, which will be the first in Britain to be built on a university campus, will accommodate 600 staff and students and will house IT areas, laboratories, catering facilities for the public and college, workshops, student support facilities and staff accommodation.
This sixth form college will further promote Sunderland as an excellent seat of learning. The building has been designed around a central Atrium, an impressive 3 storey space providing easy links from floor to floor as well as open exhibition areas and meeting places for students and staff
