The new e-Business Centre is the latest addition to the facilities at Consett Business Park. The new building comprises 18 No self contained furnished office units which Derwentside District Council let to small businesses. The units range in size from 30 sq m up to 70 sq m and have 24 hour access. The business centre has 2 No meeting rooms and a conference suite, which can be hired out by centre users. A communal kitchen/dining facility is located centrally in a top lit atrium and is accessible to all centre users.
Browne Smith Baker were appointed by project managers ENTEC to prepare design drawings in consultation with Derwentside District Council. After obtaining Planning Consent for the scheme they were then novated to Mansell Construction Services Ltd to prepare constructional drawings under a design and build contract.
